Our Elf on the Shelf, Brownie, returned last weekend. I think it's kind of funny we even do this creepy little doll since I've never really even pushed Santa...but it's fun. He doesn't tattle on the kids to Santa or anything....we just kind of said that he's here to hang out with us. The kids just enjoy seeing where he ends up each morning. And I admit, it's kind of fun coming up with different places for him to end up.
Here is his first night with us again. He was sitting in this bowl filled with ornaments when we returned from Hollidazzle, with his letter to the kids.
We were kind of tired from Hollidazzle so we didn't do anything crazy for day 2...just stuck him in a toy bucket upside down as if he got stuck. Forgot to get a pix of that one.
Then he ended up here in the bird cage candle....looked like he was trying to roast marshmallows! He stayed here for another night....he must have been tired again. ;-)
Then he and Creepy Baby sat out on the porch and played Scrabble. They had all kinds of good words like, Santa, Rudolph, Comet, snow, elf, etc.
But what's that you have Creepy Baby?! You're playing the Z -- going for the Triple Word Score!

We started our Advent Calendar last week too. Nikkels is old enough this year so we went in birth order. Today was Nikkels's turn. He knows these little doors are filled with a new magnet for the manger and a yummy chocolate treat...so the doors get checked multiple times a day. We have been opening it right when E gets home from school and I don't fill it until just before. Well, Niko's chocolate radar must have been on as he checked it just before E got home.
The little two got their Hershey Kiss, but we saved E's in the box for when he got home. We ate our chocolate and moved on to other things....or so I thought....
A few minutes later I see him back by the calendar with green candy wrapping...wait a minute...he had silver. Uh-oh. Nikkels, that's not for you! That's for your brother! Uh-oh. Hmmmm...can't you see him trying to figure out how to get that chocolate back in the wrapper???
He tried, but I think the chocolate had a few licks, and with warm toddler hands, it just didn't go so well. We threw it away and I gave him a new piece to put back in the box.
He loves his chocolate, or "cha-cha" as he calls it!
